Toronto, ON November 23, 2020- On Sunday, November 22 BFBG (Black Fashion and Beauty Gala) hosted three local creatives in the fashion and beauty industry to talk about their brands and how they got there.
Hosted by BFBG Brand Ambassador Jenieka S. Dixon, viewers got up-close and personal with the following fashion and beauty professionals to learn all about their journey:
- Mallory: Is the founder of Parker Hue which is an up and coming shoe brand that has outlandish styles for outstanding glam.
- Emefa: Is the founder of a Toronto-based, luxury, made-to-order clothing and accessories brand redefining minimalism through structure and bold femininity.
- Naiomi: Is an eyelash technician and eyebrow microblading expert, and she also has a lip blush service.
The BFBG has been highlighting Black creatives in a series of Instagram LIVE interviews. These interviews are free to watch LIVE on Instagram @bfbgawards and everyone is welcome to join and invite their friends too.
BFBG continually makes efforts to support and promote talents in the Black community, in which these online interviews are to showcase Canadian brands while inspiring the audience with the story of their journey within the industry.
BFBG is The Black Fashion & Beauty Gala, an annual red carpet themed event that celebrates creatives and businesses in the Black community by supporting and recognizing accomplishments and awarding their involvement in the fashion and beauty industry. BFBG has made a great effort to acknowledge a variety of talented individuals not only through their event but through their social media and mentorship programs.
The BFBG is a major benefit that provides up-and-coming talent mentorship opportunities with existing businesses, awards grants to help foster the education of talents, boosts new and existing businesses, and creates opportunities and inclusivity within the Canadian fashion and beauty industry.
