Toronto, Canada – May 11, 2019 – Anuschka Wright has just dropped her newest single, “Black Coffee,” a track that will make listeners feel as if they’ve stepped back in time to the great Blues and Jazz houses of the 1920s. The artist has placed her indelible mark on the song, making it highly relevant for today’s audiences.
The new track comes on the heels of her renditions of “Mood Indigo,” “Love for Sale,” “Days of Wine and Roses,” and “Bewitched.” Her music has garnered thousands of plays. Wright’s rich, sultry vocals and heartfelt lyrics have earned her dedicated fans around the world and accolades from those in the music industry.
A child of the Bahamas, Wright was born in Canada and has been musically inclined her entire life. She first used her voice in school and church choirs. She was a member of The Bahamas National Children’s Choir that gave her the opportunity to travel around the world as a child and gain insight into the world of performing internationally.
Wright made her debut as a soloist in 2009 with Jazz, Etc., a top band in the Bahamas. As she explored the range of her musical talents more fully, she discovered that jazz called to her, but she didn’t ignore other genres. She’s known for her interpretive style in R&B, soul, funk and pop. She also produces and performs each year at the Jazz in Bloom concert held on Father’s Day in Nassau, Bahamas.
To experience her talent in person, tickets are still available for three performances in Montreal, Canada. The first is set for Friday, May 31, 2019 at Hommage a Disco. She’ll also perform at the Evolution of R&B on Saturday, June 8, 2019 and again on Saturday, July 6.
