Everything I Couldn’t Tell My Mother Becomes An Amazon Best Seller
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TORONTO, ON (Mar. 20, 2014)—Pauleanna Reid’s debut fiction novel, Everything I Couldn’t Tell My Mother, becomes an Amazon Best Seller in less than 3 weeks, making the top 100 list for the Children’s, Girls & Women Books and Hardcover & Paperback Fiction categories.
“This news exceeds our expectations for this stage in the game,” says Reid. “After pouring years of thought and emotion into this novel, it’s a wonderful feeling to know so many people are reading and loving it.”
Based on Reid’s own life experiences, Everything I Couldn’t Tell My Mother follows the adolescent life of Aaliyah Panarese as she encounters many of the issues that teens and young adults face everyday.
“Not very often do you come across a book so accurately written for teen’s facing the overwhelming amount of challenges presented in today’s society,” says Natasha Gibbs Watson, a Child and Youth Worker. “She has managed to capture what its like to be a teenager struggling to find herself: Friendship, peer pressure, promiscuity, teen pregnancy, abusive relationships, familial relationships; Ms. Reid tackles these issues head on and in brilliant fashion,” adds Gibbs Watson.
“We’re expecting almost 200 guests which is double our attendance goal,” says Reid’s Publicist, Sandra Gabriel. ” This is just the beginning, so we’re very happy to see this kind of response when we’re just getting started.”
